Le Chateau September

Aritzia Veronica Dress, Flannel Shirtdress
So the shoes I picked up from Le Chateau for September are my absolute favourites! Lace up details are huge on my love list right now and you already know how I feel about a chunky heel. This shoe is part of their Luxe Collection which means they are constructed with Italian-made suede... so comfy AF. They are currently a big part of my daily shoe game right now until I'm forced to go full coverage. Today I'm styling the Ghillie sandal with this flannel shirtdress I scooped up from Aritzia recently. I love dresses for fall something about mixing up a bare leg and long sleeves is so cozy to me. It's odd actually, I rarely wear dresses in the warmer months. Sometimes there just aren't explanations for the things that we do. I love the simplicity of sweater/shirt dresses. They require very little effort, are comfortable and can still look stylish. I hope you like them too because I have a lot more coming your way! Have a fantastic week everyone xx

BIKO

BIKO is at the top of my list for favourite Canadian jewelry designers, easily. I discovered this line when I stole one of my sisters necklaces (naturally) and as time went on the line kept popping up and every time it did I was always falling in love with each piece. Although I've turned more dainty recently I could never give up substantial pieces to create a good look at times. I feel like designer Corrine Anestopoulos designs specifically for my taste lol. But really there isn't a piece she creates that I don't love and think "this is like soooooo me". I can't get enough of the different metals available (it seriously causes conflict when deciding which to get) and the pendants she uses. A lot are tribal looking, some infused with stones but all super earthy that fit my style to a T. If I were you I would hop over to her site and check out her latest Fall Collection because it's amazing. I am eyeing way too many pieces but I can assure the Thea Wrap is definitely one I'm snagging. Hope you love the line just as much as I do! xx

Benched in Bench

Senso Tina, Mackage Kenya
I'm back from Spain and Fall is fully in the air making reality even harder to get back to to. I actually had a moment when I left the mall a few days ago with my arms filled with bags of Fall clothes. As much as I was looking forward to new clothes for a new season I just couldn't help but to feel like I wasn't ready yet. Summer always flies by and all I can hope for is a mild, tolerable winter to get me through to the next summer. But on to less depressing thoughts I do love the transition period Fall brings us. One trend I love seeing is cinched sweats dressed for the streets. It's cozy and comfortable but when styled right it can actually look super rad. I came across these Bench sweats called the Takeover Trouser that looked perfect to style for the task. You can actually do a lot with sweats but here I obviously paired it up with a crop, layered it with leather and polished it with a set of pumps. You might as well give it a go since crisp air is upon us, just make sure you up your game. No ones gonna prop you if you look like you should be lounging back at your house.

Three Ways to wear Sweats
1. With a leather jacket with pumps or booties
2. With a blazer and pumps
3. With a slouchy tee or sweater with chucks

Trend Struck X Amber Watkins: Sun Drenched

OMG I'm so exited to finally share this project with you guys. Back in July I teamed up with a friend of mine, Amber Watkins, who is an amazing stylist and my partner at Toronto Fashion Week. I've always wanted to do an editorial style shoot to take style to a new extreme from the day to day that I normally post about. It was a no brainer to team up with each other because the second we decided on an athletic poolside theme our visions quickly united and the results even exceeded our initial ideas. To pull this all together we also teamed up with incredible fashion photographer, Brogan McNab, who captured the City from the Fashion House Pool perfectly and vividly (like is this even really me). On hair and make-up was Danielle Sea who made my lips pop and maintained my wet flow with every look. The end of summer is around the corner so I hope this brings a little warmth to these last few days!!
