Value Village Fashion Challenge + Project Village

CONGRATULATIONS Janet Butler-McPhee, you are the winner of the $50 Value Village gift certificate! Happy thrifting!!
So today I have look two that I styled with more Value Village finds! Opposite of the last outfit, I kept this one casual and fun. A trend that I have been loving for a while now are bomber jackets so when I stumbled on this one AND in leopard print (bonus) I immediately snagged it! I wore the jacket with my summer staples: a crop top and denim cut-offs and accessorized with a necklace I found from VV that followed my tops neckline perfectly and a clutch, also VV, with a fun reptile print that was both a contrast and complement to the jacket. Also included in my look, that I want to tell you about today, are layered bead bracelets by Project Village that pull in all the colours of my outfit! Scroll down to get the full story!
Joining forces between Value Village and Project Village had a nice ring to it and not to mention the outfit and the bracelets were too much of a good match to pass up! So yes these bracelets are pretty but it's the story behind them that make them even more beautiful. Project Village was founded by a good friend, Anna Gala, who's goal is to help support underprivileged women in Toronto through her bracelets. She's a believer that real sustainable change is achieved through empowerment and not by handouts that perpetuate the cycle of dependence. Through transformational coaching, positive social influences, empowering support systems and healthy work environments Project Village will help to break the cycle of poverty and the dependence on social services that disempower so many women today. They are fortunate to have partnerships with PACT Urban Peace Program and the Jean Augustine Centre for Young Women's Empowerment to help with transforming the lives of these women.
GET YOUR BRACELETS AND HELP! Until September 17th Project Village has set up an Indiegogo Campaign which is an online crowd funding site where companies post their cause, raise funds through contributions that get perks in return and in the end have a lump sum of money to move forward with their mission and pursue their goals. So the more contributions, the more women Project Village can bring on to start their journey of employment and empowerment. If you want to support this great mission visit them here.
For more on Project Village visit their website or follow any of their social media channels: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Thanks for reading xx
