Pardon my Print / Python

Python or snake print has been around forever but this season I noticed a huge trend with this print on shoes! Instead of a plain black boot why not add interesting texture?  I love the black Sam Edelman booties I'm wearing in this post.  Personally I struggle with snake print because I can find it quite tacky in a lot of cases so this black on black has a more subtle look that won me over.  Below are a few other pieces in in the print that I would totally wear!

Outfit of the day / Heavy Metal

Can you tell I'm obsessed with chunky, gold, metal accessories yet?  If not then keep scrolling!
The very first time I came across an image with a metal belt like this one I fell instantly in love.  It took a while, like at least a year, before I found the perfect one for me and the best part is that it's made by a Canadian company, Brave Leather.  Now that it's in my possession I seriously want to wear it with EVERYTHING.  It's officially my new 'it' accessory.  Think about it, this outfit would not be anywhere near as sexy as it is without the belt #fact.
Aside from the belt is my new Marc by Marc Jacobs clutch that I nearly died over when I saw it.  This overwhelming feeling of love, adoration and need is what I call being 'trend struck'.  Leather is my favourite to wear for fall, but what I'm especially intrigued by this year is texture.  The sleek lines are what make this clutch so eye-catching and what also made it such a great complement to the faux-leather skirt.

Fashion Challenge / Twobirds Bridesmaid

One of the many things I do is work for an amazing bridesmaid dress line called Twobirds.  If you haven't already heard of our dresses let me take this opportunity to share with you why they are the best dresses ever!  No really, they are.
If you haven't already guessed based on the rotating images above this is one dress that can be wrapped into over 15 different styles.  You choose your colour and your length then it's up to you if you feel like rocking a strapless, a one shoulder, a halter or even a sleeve just to name a few of your options.  This is considered a bridesmaid dress line except yes - you CAN actually wear this dress again after the wedding day!  That is why I have decided to do a fashion challenge featuring Twobirds.  I want to prove that you can style this 'bridesmaid' dress to suit different settings.  So go ahead and judge for yourself.
* I'm wearing the exact dress as above except mine is a short length rather than a floor length

Here I simply wrapped the straps around my waist to wear my dress as a skirt.  By placing a basic tee and denim jacket overtop this is now a perfect casual look to take on the day.
Dress, Twobirds / Tee, Urban Outfitters / Denim Jacket, Zara / Necklace, Club Monaco / Purse&Sunnies, Michael Kors / Sandals, Sam Edelman /Lipstick, YSL Faubourg Peach #30

This dress can be just as easy to fancy up as it is to dress down.  I wore a cardigan that followed the neckline of the wrap style underneath then chose this gold metal belt (that I'm seriously obsessing over hard right now) that instantly made this outfit glam!  Finishing things off with a hot pump and a matching bold lip perfected this look.

Now for that in-between look.  You have an event that requires you to dress nice, yet it isn't anything fancy.  My solution: put a sweater over it and call it a day.  The sweater I chose complements the colour of my dress and by adding a heeled bootie it maintains a balance of looking dressed up but still casual.

WHAT2WEAR / Wedding

Since I have a wedding to attend next weekend I thought I would take this opportunity to chat about what you should wear when attending such an occasion.  The wedding day is a celebration of love and we are all there to support.  That being said there are many different people attending such as grandparents, parents, children and friends and this is something that we should all be mindful of when getting dressed.  This is a couples special day who have put a tremendous amount of work into creating a beautiful party for everyone to enjoy so step it up and let's get dressed up!!  I love an occasion to get fancy.  Fancy not trashy.  Let's be respectful and leave that sexy outfit for another time... please.  I've seen this before and it's not a good look for a wedding and it makes some people feel uncomfortable.  Follow my steps below for getting dressed for a wedding and you will be just fine!

Now that you've got a bit of virtual inspiration let's see what I pulled out of my closet as a potential wedding look.
