What a nice complement...

For starters I've never been one to take the rule about not wearing white after labour day seriously.  As much as I tend to lean more toward wearing darker colours during the winter season, wearing white paired with the lighter shades of brown like tan, taupe or caramel is at the top for favourite winter combinations.  Whether you pair these colours together for an evening look or something casual during the day it's always such a striking love affair.  Perhaps the unexpected choice of wearing white during winter is the first reason why you would stand out but then combining another soft hue is nothing but a clean and classic look.
So what do you think, do you dare to wear white during this winter season?

LB{P}D - Little black peplum dress

This dress.  Each week I used to filter through online shopping sites just to check out what was new.  So one week I was on and I came across this dress.  I mean what wasn't to fall in love with.  It's peplum, it has a sexy plunging neckline yet covered up with beautiful crochet work and the back is open with a bow at the top.  Yes, that sounds like a lot going on but look how well it works!  I hesitated when buying the dress online and of course it quickly went out of stock.  A little while later I was shopping at a small boutique that I love (Bicyclette, for those in Toronto reading this) and as I'm shopping I look above me and a mannequin is wearing the dress - yet I didn't see it anywhere in her store.  Sure enough it was the last one in store and you bet it ended up in my closet!  I love happy endings don't you?
