TIPS : HOW TO WEAR IT
Oh how I love the peplum trend! I will admit I wasn't all over it at first but like a lot of new trends it can take me a bit longer to hop on board (I remember skinny jeans and pointy shoes took me FOREVER to accept back in the day). Anyway, I don't know if it's just me but as a new trend hits the stores I feel it takes time for pieces to get perfected and by that time I'm usually ready for it after seeing it styled by more and more people (clearly those more adventurous than I). So yes I am now head over heels for peplum. It's just such a chic, feminine style that really accentuates the curves of our body. The amazing part is there are so many options when it comes to how you prefer to wear the trend. Peplum refers to a ruffle around the waist area and can be found on either a top, blazer, skirt, dress or you can even get belts that can create the look with one of your already existing outfits. Depending on your body type too you can decide where you would like to create the volume since the ruffle can sit on different area's of the body as you can see in the examples above. You can also have the it more fitted or flared and some ruffles don't necessarily go all the way around. There are just so many options making it more easy to find a way to wear the trend that best suits you. I think my favourite look is when the ruffle is on the top and it's worn with a pencil skirt. I just think it's so polished and classic looking! However I do have a dress that I'm very excited to post for you ladies soon!

It also very often takes me a while to get accustomed to new trends, they definitely have to grow on me. i was just like you with the peplum trend, but I really love it now. I wore my first peplum top to work today and there's just something so elegant about this trend.
